Misbourne Gymnasts are victorious at the Milano Teams National Finals

Misbourne history was made on Friday 16 March, when two Misbourne teams competed The Milano Teams National Gymnastics Finals held at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, in Stoke-on-Trent. 

This was the first year that a Misbourne U16 mixed team had competed in the event.  They  achieved an amazing 15th place overall in this national competition.  Not to be outdone, the U19 mixed team, was awarded 3rd place overall in Great Britain a fantastic achievement.   

The school has received a letter of congratulation from Lieutenant Commander Jamie Weller, who is Chairman of the British Schools Gymnastics Association, he said,  “The gymnasts performed tremendously well, which is a testimony to the hard work and commitment of the gymnasts, teachers and coaches alike, who all contributed to such a successful outcome.  The gymnasts also demonstrated an exceptional level of teamwork and sportsmanship at the Championships.”

Misbourne Gymnastics Coach, Miss Hill said "We would like to thank the parents for their support and also a special thank you to Sweet Charity in Prestwood who funded the new gymnastics leotards that were worn by the U19 team at this competition as well as the hoodies and polo shirts for the U16 team.   Their support has been phenomenal."
