Illness at School

If a student feels unwell while at school they should seek advice from the Student Welfare Officer.   Parents will be contacted by a member of staff if illness necessitates a student going home or if an accident has occurred.   It is important, therefore, that the school has up-to-date details of parents home and emergency telephone numbers.   Students should NOT use their mobile phone to contact parents if they feel unwell in school to arrange to be collected.   When students leave school without seeing the Student Welfare Officer their absence may be marked as unauthorised.

The school does not employ a trained nurse, therefore students with any medical conditions should be taken to their GP by their parents and not sent to school for diagnosis.  If your son/daughter sustains an injury please ensure they are fit to attend school.

The Misbourne is happy to work with students to accommodate a return to school should they have any broken limbs and require assistance moving around the site.
