Science now follows a linear route through to GCSE, with all exams taken in the summer of year 11 – this follows government reform of GCSE.

Most students will follow GCSE Combined Science (AQA GCSE Trilogy 8464).  Students who achieve a high level at Key Stage 3 science will join the triple science top set.  These students will complete GCSE Biology (AQA GCSE 8461), Chemistry (AQA GCSE 8462) and Physics (AQA GCSE 8463) in Year 11.

We follow the AQA syllabi for science and details are on the individual subject pages to follow.

To support parents and student in their understanding of the topics covered and how they fit into individual subject within science, the following information has been divided into biology, physics and chemistry.

At Key Stage 5 we offer biology, chemistry and physics A level.  The exam board for A level is OCR.
